Hello! My name is Brooke Babbit, and I am a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. My photography journey began in the summer of 2022 in Paris, France, where I enrolled in an intensive photography program. During this month-long course, I majored in film photography, immersing myself in darkroom techniques, film cameras, and exposure settings. This experience ignited my passion for film photography, leading me to spend countless hours perfecting my skills in the darkroom, often at the expense of exploring the beautiful city of Paris. Upon returning to the United States, I pursued every photography class available at my high school. My dedication was recognized by my photography teacher, who created an advanced independent study course tailored to my interests. As I continued to refine my craft, I discovered a profound interest in photojournalism. Capturing the essence of diverse communities and individuals striving for change gave me an adrenaline rush that solidified my desire to pursue this field professionally. Now at the College of Charleston, I minoring in photography, while majoring in communications to understand journalism. I am continuously developing my skills and learning every day, eager to see where my passion for photography will take me in the future.
